The first event will be Idaho Running Day featuring the Idaho Running Company Marathon.

It will have a 5K, 10K, Half and Full Marathon. The event will be a tribute to the Idaho Running Company and Mike Shuman for all he has done for the Boise Running Community (September 17th).

All 4 distances will begin at 74 Arrowrock Road, Boise, Idaho.

Idaho Running Day is devoted to bringing the joy of running races back to everyone. The event features distance to suit runners of all abilities from a 5K all the way up to a Marathon. Register today and let us exceed your wildest expectations.

All events are out-and-back runs with plenty of manned aid stations along the way.

The marathon course will be certified – that means a super fast course for those trying to qualify for Boston!

Race Start Times
  • Marathon will start at 8 am: Runners will be started in waves based on estimated finishing times. There is a 6 ½ hour time limit on the marathon. The marathon course will be a certified course, Boston Marathon qualifying eligible. 20 aid stops on the marathon course. The USATF certification number is: ID22001LAB
  • Half Marathon will start at 8:30am: Runners will be started in waves based on estimated finishing time. There is a 6 – hour time limit on the half marathon
  • 10K will start at 8:45am
  • 5K will start at 9 am

Each course will have its own set of mileage markers

How long is registration open?
Registration is open until 6pm the night before the race. All registrations must be completed online.
Can I run with a stroller?
Unfortunately no for this event. Our course is too narrow in sections.
Can I run with my dog?
As much as we love dogs and they are welcome at most of our events, they are a no for this one. (see reason above)
Where do we park?
We have capped entries for this event to allow for ample parking at the race venue at Sandy Point Beach. We do ask that you carpool with your friends whenever you can.
Are there awards?
Awards will be given for each age group winner and for the top three overall in each distance, Male and Female. These will be presented at the Payette Brewing After Party: 6pm at Payette Brewing, Pioneer Blvd, Boise.
What do I get with my registration?

All registrants get a custom event shirt and all finishers receive a custom race medal.

What is at the aid stations?
There are 20 aid station stops on the marathon course, and 10 for the half. There will be water and scratch lab energy drinks at every aid station, plus each aid station will feature a special food item to help keep you energized along the course.
When and where is packet pick up?
September 16th 11am until 6pm at Shu’s Idaho Running Company 1758 State Street, Boise. There will be a provisional pick-up at Lucky Peak on race morning ONLY for those from out of state.
Can a friend pick up my packet?
Yes, friends or family members can get your packet for you. They just need to bring a copy of your registration confirmation.
