  • What is parking like?

Parking in the main lot at Sandy Point Beach is $7 and can be paid in cash or card the morning of the event. It is likely that the attendant will not be present by the time the event starts so CASH IS PREFERRED as you are all still required to pay and could be ticketed.

If you are an Idaho resident AND have a Parks Passport, just bring that and display it in your vehicle and you are all set! If you don't have a Parks Passport yet and want to get one, they can be purchased HERE. It pays for itself after two State Park visits/year!

  • When/Where can I pick up my race packet?

We have two pre-race packet pickups available:

    #1: Wed. Sept. 4th at Fleet Feet Meridian from 12pm - 6pm

    #2 Thu. Sept. 5th at Fleet Feet Nampa from 12pm - 6pm

Fleet Feet Treasure Valley is locally owned and operated by some of the race team! Come by, grab any last minute race day essentials and ask any questions you have about race day!

For those that are coming from out of town, race day packet pickup will start at 6:00 am and end 15 minutes before your race starts. If you are in town and able, we strongly encourage you to pick up your packet before race day to reduce wait time on race morning!

  • Can my friends and family come watch?

Absolutely! Friends and family are welcome to spectate from the start/finish area or to find a suitable place to cheer from the course. Please make sure any spectators follow parking requirements and watch out for bikers and racers as they are crossing the course! All spectators must follow the instruction of race directors during the event or they will be asked to leave.

  • What if I'm injured and can't race?

There are no refunds for this event. We do offer both injury and pregnancy deferrals. Please email us at info@boiserunning.com if you need a deferral.

If you email us the week of the race for a deferral, please know that we will likely not get back to you until after race day.

  • Can I change my race distance?

Yes! No worries at all, but you do have to let us know! It is best if you let us know before picking up your bib and we will get you switched and given the appropriate bib.

If you need to change your race distance after you pick up your bib but before the race start, please come see us Race Day packet pickup. Note that your results may be delayed and you will not be eligible for awards if you switch your race distance less than a half hour before the race starts.

If you have to switch race distances after the race starts, you can only switch to a distance that starts at the same time as your original event and you MUST find a race director (ask for "Megan" or "Alex") so that we can make sure your results are accurate! Note that in this case, your results may be delayed.

  • Is the course certified?

Our marathon course is USATF Certified. This means that the race is a Boston Qualifying course!

For more information about our certification, check out our certification here.

The current course is certified until 2032.

  • Where will bathrooms be?

There will be four portapotties near the start/finish area. Sandy Point park also has two bathroom buildings that will be open race day. Both have ADA compliant restrooms.

For a map of where Sandy Point's bathrooms are, click HERE.

There are also bathrooms on course for the Half Marathon/Marathon course at Aid Station #2 near the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. We do not have control over the cleanliness of these bathrooms, but will make sure to have toilet paper at this aid station. When we last checked them this summer, they were much cleaner than prior years!

  • Will the event be affected by wildfires in Idaho?

This race falls during fire season in southwest Idaho. We will be monitoring smoke and wildfire conditions closely as we approach the event and update participants accordingly.  We're committed to providing a safe experience for all race participants. If you have a medical condition or are particularly sensitive to smoke and are concerned about racing, please reach out to our race team at info@boiserunning.com.

UPDATE 09/05: The fire in southeast Boise causing the smoke today is 100% contained and as of 9:51 pm on 09/05 the current AQI in the race area is 64. We will continue to monitor the area, but with the fire contained and the AQI in a healthy range, things are looking good for Saturday at this point in time!
