ABOUT XC12K

The 2024 XC12K will be held on Saturday August 24th. The start time for the both races is: 8:00 AM
You can RUN or HIKE either race. The cutoff time for both races is: 11:00 AM.
Funds raised from this year’s race will benefit the Bogus Basin Nordic Team and support the development of Nordic skiing in the Treasure Valley.
Other Considerations:
Weather Consideration: Race course or race date could change due to wet conditions to protect the trails.

LOCATION:Fort Boise Park (Military Reserve Trail System.
Both the 5K and 12K start and finish at the same location.
*Due to possible congestion it is recommended to park near Fort Boise Community Center and walk to start/finish area.
START TIME: 8:00 (both events)
COURSE MAPS
5K COURSE MAP - (FOOTPATH ROUTE) - This course will be marked with RED flags and arrows.
12K COURSE MAP - (FOOTPATH ROUTE) - This course will be marked with BLUE flags and arrows.

Packet pickup will be available before the event. We STRONGLY encourage participants to pick up their packets BEFORE race day.
PACKET PICKUP #1:
Wednesday August 21st from 12pm - 6:00pm at Fleet Feet Meridian (The Village at Meridian 3573 E Longwing Ln STE 105 Meridian 83646)
PACKET PICKUP #2:
Thursday August 22nd from 12pm - 5pm at Fleet Feet Nampa (1850 S Caldwell Blvd STE 120, Nampa ID 83651)
RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP :
We will have LIMITED race day packet pickup for those unable to make it to Fleet Feet Meridian or Fleet Feet Nampa near the start line from 6:45 am- 7:30 am. We highly encourage you to pick up your packet in advance. If you are unable to make one of those times at Fleet Feet, but are able to pickup up your packet at Fleet Feet before the race, email megan@boiserunning.com no later than 6pm on Wednesday August 21st and we will get the packet ready for you and put it on the hold shelf in your desired store!

Cash prizes will be awarded for the following in the 12K event:
$50 for first-place finishers in each division (male, female, non-binary)
$50 for King of Mountain (KOM) in each division (male, female, non-binary)
The award ceremony will take place at 9:45 am.
There will not be official age group awards, but there will be a generous raffle after the event starting at 10am and based on bib number.

Bogus Basin Nordic Team is a nonprofit organization inspiring, engaging, and developing cross country skiers and biathletes of all ages and abilities through excellent nordic ski training and events.
